IPL 2019: Shikhar Dhawan Returns To Delhi After 11 Years:
After a gap of 11 odd years Shikhar Dhawan returning to his old Franchise Delhi Daredevils for the IPL 2019. The Left-Hander Shikhar Dhawan was not happy with the Sunrisers Hyderabad for not retaining him before the mega-auction in 2018. He also expressed his disappointment regarding the pay tag which is 5.20 Crores. Srh management used Right To Match(RTM) Card on him before. In IPL 2019 Shikhar Dhawan returns to Delhi after 11 years.
There were reports on Shikhar Dhawan joining MI or the KingsXI Punjab but the final deal states that Dhawan will play for Delhi Daredevils in the IPL 2019.
DD Trade 3 players In Exchange To Get Shikhar Back Into The Squad.
Shikhar Dhawan has included to the DD squad in exchange of three players such as Vijay Shankar, Shahbaz Nadeem, and Abhishek Sharma will join the SRH in the IPL 2019. This is a strategic move from the SRH franchise have covered most of their bases.
Nadeem is a prolific performer in the domestic circuit which will give Srh an additional option for Spin bowling. Vijay Shankar is back to SRH after a gap of one year. Shankar along with Abhishek Sharma expected to strengthen the middle order. Shankar, Nadeem, Abhishek brought to the team for a total of 6.95 Crore. Hence SRH has to pay the balance amount of 1.75cr in cash.
Shikhar Dhawan IPL Career:
Shikhar Dhawan played for DD in the 1st edition of the IPL held in 2008. He moved to MI before he brought to Hyderabad. Dhawan played for Deccan Chargers for one season before the Sunrisers. Shikhar Dhawan scored 2768 runs in 91 innings for the SRH. The Dhawan-Warner combo is one of the most destructive combos in the IPL and will be missed in IPL 2019.
Shikhar Dhawan has played 143 matches and scored 4058 runs with an average 33.26 and strike rate of 123.53 including 32 half-centuries in the entire IPL.
