Asia Cup 2018 Dubai UAE
Wednesday 19th September 2018 arch-rival India & Pakistan are going to face each other for the 13th time in Unimoni Asia Cup 2018. This will be the third occasion when this two Arch Rivals will be facing each other in Dubai(UAE), Last time they faced each other were in year 1984 where India defeated Pakistan & in year 1995 where Pakistan defeated India. In 1984 & 1995, UAE was a neutral venue for both the teams but now in 2018 UAE is partly a home country for Pakistan team. Pakistan will get homely atmosphere while India will be a visitor team, but Indian team will be positive because they won their last encounter against Pakistan in UAE.
Players to watch out from Team India:
Rohit Sharma will be captaining team India for the first time in Asia cup. He has decent record while playing with Pakistan.
M.S Dhoni will be playing his last Asia cup for his country he might be a threat for Pakistan team he also love scoring against Pakistan.
Ambati Raydu has played only one game against Pakistan that too in Asia cup 2014 & scored 58 runs. He might be dangerous because he is in good touch, we saw that in IPL 2018 .
Kuldeep Yadav has performed well in English conditions and bagged more than 9 wickets in English condition can be dangerous in UAE.
Some threats that Team India have to look out for:
Pitch Condition: Though UAE is in Asia & falls under sub- continent but the pitch is little bit different from the pitches we see in India, SriLanka & Bangladesh. UAE Pitch will have some swing, seam & spin.
Fakhar Zaman is in form and scored lots of runs in last series against Zimbabwe scored a Double Ton too against Zimbabwe. He scored a Ton against arch-rival in Champions Trophy Final 2017.
Shoaib Malik will be playing his last Asia Cup and always scores big against arch-rival India.
Indian batsman have some problem in facing him we all saw it in last asia cup when India was chasing just 84 runs but Mohd. Amir took 3 crucial wicket and put India on back foot but India was lucky to have Virat Kohli to help in winning the game for India. In CT 2017 Final Mohd. Amir bowl magnificently and took the game away from India.
Just played 33 games & picked 68 wickets with an economy of under 5.5 runs per over strike rate of 24.01 averaged 20.88. Hasan Ali is dangerous and in form.
